CRYOMODELING: A REVOLUTIONARY TREATMENT FOR BODY FAT
Cryomodeling is a technique that was developed a few years ago in Brazil, by the renowned Physiotherapist Chris Tofoli, and I am proud to have introduced it to our clinic in London. When it comes to aesthetic treatments, we know that Brazil is one of the world leaders in this field and a reference country for aesthetic treatments. Studies have shown that this procedure includes a weight loss method that can reduce fat in hard-to-remove areas by up to 60%, even with a healthy diet and physical activity. When fat cells are frozen, they are expelled from the body and their effects are reduced.
This method has recently attracted attention because it is a highly effective procedure that does not require surgical intervention, is inexpensive and does not require a long surgical recovery period.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CRYOLIPOLYSIS (AKA FAT FREEZING OR COOLSCULPTING) WHAT ABOUT CRYOMODELING?
Simply put, Cryomodeling is not considered a procedure, but a protocol that follows a1 series of steps and is modified or adjusted according to the patient. That said, this is a custom protocol as the aim is to treat the entire body and not just a single site like Cryolipolysis. However, the basis of Cryomodeling is Cryolipolysis and requires the use of the same device. The difference lies in the approach used, Cryomodeling is a newer and more effective version of Cryolipolysis.
HOW DOES CRYOMODELING WORK?
Cryomodeling is performed using a special device that lowers the temperature from – 7°C to -11°C in order to freeze the fat and remove it in a controlled manner. This procedure can be performed on different parts of the body. However, the most common areas are:
• Thighs
• Abdomen
• Arms
• Back
• Glute.
I trained in Brazil and London, so I know exactly how the two techniques differ from each other. For example, traditional Cryolipolysis creates a “package” of Cryolipolysis (also known as fat freezing or coolsculpting) sessions. This works in some cases and can reduce fat by up to 30%. Patients are required to come to the clinic once a month. This is not the case for Cryomodeling. A single session of freezing is performed and may last up to 12 hours depending on the size of the area to be treated. Cryomodeling results are much better as up to 60% of the fat can be removed at this point. I bet you haven`t seen anything like this yet.
WHEN DO CRYOMODELING RESULTS START TO APPEAR?
Right after your cryo-modelling session, an inflammatory process starts that lasts about 30 days. From the second month, the process of cell death begins and the patient begins to notice a decrease in fat in the treated area and you’ll notice your clothes will become looser. Your body is eliminating all that fat that was frozen gradually. At the end of 3 months the results are amazing. We have customers who have managed to lose up to 12KG in 3 months in a healthy and safe way, without having submitted to any invasive surgical process and without going through the uncomfortable process of post-surgical recovery. It is noteworthy that for an efficient result, the patient needs to follow our guidelines and cooperate with us so that your treatment is as effective as possible. Combining this with regular exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle enhances the Cryomodeling results.
WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS OF CRYOMODELING?
Cryomodeling is not recommended for people with the following conditions:
• Children
• Obese
• Pregnant or lactating women
• Allergic to cold
• People with cold agglutinin, cryoglobulins, and neuropathy
This procedure is tailored for each and every client. It’s important to note a thorough Consultation is conducted to assess whether you are a good candidate for this treatment.
CAN I GO BACK TO MY NORMAL ROUTINE AFTER I HAVE DONE THE CRYOMODELING?
Yes, you can continue with your daily routine as usual. It's a safe procedure with no downtime, so you can still work or do physical activity 24 hours later. I hope you enjoy the blog and I look forward to the next one!
Thank you
