Excessive Sweating – Hyperhidrosis

Excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis, a condition caused by factors such as genetics, infections and hormonal changes. Areas severely affected include the underarms, face, hands, and feet.

Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to stop underarm sweating by targeting the sweat glands. A toxin is injected into the designated area, stopping the glands from signalling to excrete sweat. The treatment will reduce excessive sweating to normal levels or slightly less than normal. Most people still sweat a little, so you may need deodorant or antiperspirant.

The treatment is safe, non-invasive and requires no recovery time. The procedure is quick, and you can carry on with regular activities once it’s completed. You should see improvements in sweating in three to four days after the procedure. Results typically last between three to 12 months.
