What Is Endolift? All You Need To Know

By Dr. Raja, Derma Aesthetics London

Finding ways to slow down the ageing process and keep our skin looking younger for longer is something most people want from their skin treatments. But in a digital world where we constantly see new ways to treat skin laxity or loose skin, how do you know which one will work for you?

This is where Endolift treatment comes in. It is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that is the best alternative to a surgical facelift. Endolift uses laser technology to tighten loose skin and stimulate collagen production, which helps to plump and firm your skin.

But the added cherry on top with Endolift is that it also targets excess fat pockets that are difficult to shift with diet and exercise and melts them away. Sounds like a win-win, right? We are here to tell you that it is as good as it sounds.

But if you are unfamiliar with Endolift, you might be wondering, what is Endolift? Don’t worry, we are here to share all you need to know about this revolutionary laser skin tightening treatment.

You can also book an appointment with one of our team to talk about Endolift treatment in person.

What Is Endolift? All You Need To Know

What is Endolift?

Endolift might not be the most well-known laser treatment, but trust us, it is becoming the queen of skin-tightening and fat-reduction treatments.

Endolift laser treatment does exactly what it sounds like it does. The treatment helps to lift and tighten sagging skin to give you a more youthful appearance. It also works much deeper in the skin to stimulate collagen production. This helps to build new collagen in the skin that we start to lose as we age.

At the same time, the laser energy also targets excess fat cells to break them down. Your body then flushes these out naturally. After a course of Endolift treatment, not only is your skin lifted and firmer, but you also look more sculpted and toned.

The results are long-lasting, and because this is a minimally invasive procedure, there is no downtime needed. This is just another reason why most patients are turning away from surgery and walking towards non-surgical treatments.

Why do people love Endolift for issues with skin laxity and loose skin?

There are many reasons why people who struggle with moderate skin sagging or skin laxity are queuing for this treatment.

If you want to know why this is more than just your average skin tightening and fat reduction treatment, here are just a few examples:

Minimally invasive laser treatment – it uses a very fine fibre laser to deliver laser energy into the skin.

Dual action treatment – that works by promoting skin tightening while also melting away stubborn pockets of fat. This makes it an ideal treatment for the double chin, sagging jowls or turkey neck.

Long-lasting results – you will see tighter looking skin through the immediate skin retraction, but this will continue to improve as new collagen builds in the skin. This can happen over a few months and even years.

Works on the face and body – we use Endolift to treat a wide range of areas including the chin, jawline, cheeks, lower eyelids, neck, decolletage, knees, ankles, stomach, arms, inner thighs and buttocks.

Safe and effective – not only is there minimal downtime with Endolift treatment, but it is also an FDA-approved treatment. You will also be in the hands of our medical professionals, who are fully trained in how to deliver this treatment to significantly improve skin laxity significantly and safely.

How does Endolift treatment work?

The first step in your Endolift treatment is to have a consultation with Dr Raja. This is so he can assess your skin condition and look at your problem areas in more depth. He will talk you through how the treatment works and create a bespoke treatment plan for you.

The treatment itself uses a hand-held device that has a fibre laser. This fibre is as thin as a piece of hair, and we insert it into the skin so that the laser energy can travel into the deeper layers of the skin.

The laser fibre turns laser energy into heat underneath the skin. This causes immediate skin retraction, targeting sagging skin while also promoting collagen production in the skin.

We can also tailor this treatment to meet your specific needs. If this includes fat reduction, we can increase the level of heat to target excess fat and permanently eliminate fat cells in small target areas.

Most of our patients say that Endolift is a comfortable treatment. However, we can discuss using a topical anaesthetic to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible throughout.

A typical treatment session can last anywhere from ten minutes up to an hour. This will depend on the size of the treatment area and how many areas you are having Endolift on.

Are there any side effects with Endolift?

There are very few side effects that come with having Endolift treatment. This is why downtime is very minimal. You may experience some mild redness and swelling in the face and neck after your treatment. This can also happen with body treatments. This is normal and will go away within a few days.

We find that a lot of our patients go back to work and their normal activities shortly after their treatment session.

Endolift results – how long do they last?

You will start to notice visible results, including tighter-looking skin, straight after your treatment. However, over the following weeks and months, this will continue to improve as the collagen in your skin increases.

The length of time your Endolift results last will depend on several factors, including your age, lifestyle, skin condition and how much you expose your skin to the sun.

You will continue to age (sorry, we can’t stop that). But you can expect your results to last, on average, 2-3 years. For some, this may be longer.

Dr Raja will talk to you about incorporating effective anti-ageing skincare into your daily routine. He may also suggest that you come back to the clinic once a year to have a top-up treatment. This can help maintain your results and keep you looking more youthful for longer.
